Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

You will serve as an SME in the informatics space.
You will advance technology and enhance the research team.
You will make an impact on new and existing research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with project teams to develop innovative novel assay technologies.
- Develop computational pipelines for analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data sets using statistical, machine learning, and AI approaches.
- Collaborate with experimental scientists to develop new applications of existing NGS-based technologies.
- Assist with existing and novel research projects focused on multiplexed proteomics and transcriptomics assays.
- Create software tools for data analysis and visualization for the research group.
- Present analyses and offer recommendations for project advancement.
Experience:
- 6+ years of relevant experience, including genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
- Artificial intelligence and/or machine learning methods.
- Proteomics assays, including mass-spec or multiplex immunoassays.
- Linux and cloud computing environments.
- Supervisory experience.
Qualifications:
- PhD in structural bioinformatics, computational biology, or similar.
- Publications or patents demonstrating the development of novel analytical methods for NGS analysis.
- Expertise in Illumina NGS data analysis and strong background in programming and scripting.
- Excellent communication, expert problem solving, strong analytical, and exceptional organizational skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to be creative, collaborative, and proactive.
- Advanced knowledge in Statistics required.
