Senior Scientist, Preclinical Neuroscience
My client is expanding and seeks a Principal Scientist to contribute to preclinical studies.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop experiments to analyze EEG pattern changes induced by pharmaceutical agents and other models.
- Review and ensure the quality of analyzed EEG data.
- Direct rodent studies, including surgeries, dosing, and EEG recordings.
- Create study plans and reports, and work with partners on study design and data reporting.
- Help troubleshoot EEG recording equipment.
Qualifications
- PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, etc and demonstrated applicable experience in EEG.
- Ability to interact appropriately with all levels of employees and work effectively as a member of a team.
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
- Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with sleep and/or epilepsy is desired.
Experience
- Knowledge of electronics and EEG recording systems.
- Expertise in rodent EEG analyses.
- Statistical analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Title and salary are commensurate with experience and can be Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist.
